A perfectly fitting leather accessory means more comfort, better safety and a longer service life. Use this guide to find the right size for your individual needs.
How to measure correctly
The recommended measurement methods
- Printable measuring tape: you can find it here – all my standard sizes are shown
- Tailor’s tape: simple if you have one at home
- Ruler or folding rule: Wrap string/tape around and measure with ruler or folding rule
Practical tips
- Accuracy: Rounding up to the nearest half or full cm is sufficient
- Time: If possible, measure several times and at different times to compensate for natural fluctuations and measurement errors
- Position: Measure where the product is to sit later
Correctly measure collars
Place the measuring tape directly over the larynx – where the collar will sit later.
Important to know:
- Breathe normally during the measurement
- Test different head positions for optimum comfort
- You can stick down the measuring tape at the appropriate length to test how comfortable it is to wear for longer periods. My printable measuring tape has a wide section at the end for this purpose.
Fitting restraints correctly
Measure the wrist where you want the cuff to sit.
Please note:
- Restraints that are too loose can cut uncomfortably under tension, and restraints that are too tight can disrupt blood circulation
- A finger sized gap between the skin and the cuff is usually ideal
- The circumference of the wrist can vary over time, especially if it is held in one position for a long period of time by the restraint
Size charts
The standard sizes are selected to cover most cases. I allow for 1 cm adjustment in both directions outside the specified size for all sizes. The column with the circumference is relevant for the choice of size, the real adjustment range can be found in the column “Adjustable from/to”.
To choose your size, make sure that you are as close to the center of the circumference range as possible. If you fall outside the size range or are on the edge of a size, you will find information on made to measure products below.

Precise adjustability for optimum comfort and fit
Fine tuning in 5mm increments
For standard products, I offer adjustment options in 0.5 cm increments – much more precise than the usual 1-2 cm. Advantages for you:
- Customized fit for maximum comfort in any position
- Adaptation to daily body fluctuations
- The ability to wear things underneath without sacrificing the perfect fit
Exceptions for special closures
Such fine adjustment is not possible with lockable products or those with buttons. I offer these as made-to-measure only products so that they still fit perfectly.
Material knowledge for the perfect fit
Our products are made from soft, slightly stretchy leather. Important to know:
- The leather gently adapts to your body shape over time
- However, this does not change the basic size
This increases comfort over time, but it is still important that you order the right size.
Customization without additional costs
Same production time, same price
As all our products are individually made to order, we offer made-to-measure products at no extra charge. You can find the current production time next to the products, which is usually between 2 and 5 days.
Made-to-measure products are also adjustable where possible. For standard fasteners in 0.5 cm steps as well, for special fasteners the adjustment options are indicated in the listing.
Good to know: The production time is mainly determined by the drying times of dyes and care products. To be able to offer a wide range of colors and at the same time guarantee consistent quality, I dye by hand to order.
When is a custom-made product worthwhile?
- You are at the limit of a standard size and want more room for adjustment
- Your dimensions fall outside my table
- You want a perfect fit
- You need two different sizes because your wrists vary greatly
- If you are unsure whether the standard size fits

The leather adapts to your body shape over time, but the basic size remains the same. If a product is worn extremely tightly, it may stretch slightly over time to adapt.

No! Thanks to our precise adjustability, even standard sizes offer an excellent fit. If you fit well in a standard size, this is the perfect choice.
